Rejoicing in the Lord

With hearts overflowing with joy, we give
our God all the praise and glory for everything that was accomplished this
past quarter. We look back in awe at all that He has done.
With hearts full of gratitude, we thank you
so much for your very faithful prayers on our behalf. We see souls saved,
lives eternally touched, encouraged for the Lord Jesus, because you have
covered us in prayers. We couldn't even begin to tell you the times when God
does a work in someone's life and we know beyond the shadow of a doubt that
it's nothing short of your fervent prayers. As we go through this article
and share with you what the Lord has done, you'll realize how important your
prayers are and how your prayers have and continue to change eternal
destinies!
We also thank you so much for your financial support, because without it, we
would not be able to go and share the Good News of Christ with them.
Can you believe that we have moved 19 times
since we came back from the Philippines on May 3rd? We praise God for His
protection and provision. It had been a very busy but fruitful few months.
Our first ministries after coming back from the Philippines were two 4-day
revivals in Pennsylvania, at the Clayton Memorial Church in Mercersburg and
the Solid Rock Ministry in Uniontown. We give God praise for 8 salvations
and several recommitments.
Following that, we traveled to the United
Christian Church in Osborne, Kansas for another revival.
The Lord did a very special thing there. There was a precious man from
California visiting family in Osborne. We found out later that he was
involved in New Age and that they have been praying for him. His cousin
invited him to come to the service and he did. Well, our God did it again,
this precious man accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at that service, praise
God!
From Kansas, ministry took us to the
Midwest Bible Camp in Watertown, South Dakota for a 6-day camp where people
of all ages from several states came.
Dan was scheduled to minister in the area
of missions and Pearlyn was scheduled to teach the Junior High Class but the
Lord had other plans. The other speaker got strep and called Dan the day
before camp started and asked him if he could fill for his services as well.
It was quite a busy week but your prayers got us through it. Dan started the
day ministering at the 730 morning Adult Devotions. Following that was
breakfast then we ministered in the morning session at 10 in the area of
missions. Dan preached the revival services each evening and there were
activities on certain days. Because of your prayers, we really felt the
strength of the Lord and the services were powerful, praise God! The altar
was filled with young people each night, teens and preteens, weeping and
seeking the Lord for a closer walk and wanting to be a better witness for
Him. There were 13 salvations and recommitments. One boy from Colorado went
to the altar giving his life to the Lord to be a missionary. A special young
boy named Briggs was at the altar seeking God every night. Since we came
home, we've gotten three calls from him. He said that he and a friend have
been sharing Christ with people. He's even doing a service for kids so he
can share Christ with them. He also uploaded a video on youtube.com to tell
people about Jesus. Our hearts truly rejoice! Without your prayers, none of
these would have taken place.
From there, we went to the Evangelical Free
Church of Concord in Nebraska, where two people committed to a closer walk
with the Lord.
We give God all the praise and glory for
everything that has taken place! Thank you so much for your prayers and
support, without it, we would not have been able to fulfill the Great
Commission!
We don't have our schedule for the next
three months completely finalized yet. As many of you know, we were invited
to go back to the Philippines this Fall. We had prayed about this for months
but the Lord confirmed that we needed to stay and spend the time ministering
here in the US. Because of the last minute change, we just started to fill
those dates so what you see on our schedule are only the services that have
already been confirmed.
Again, we thank you with all of our hearts
and continue to covet your prayers desperately. Without it, there will be no
results.
To God be all the glory!
A Challenge from Dan and Pearlyn...
Greetings seasoned with the love of Christ
from our home to yours.
Trust you had a wonderful summer and was able to keep cool in spite of the
record high temperatures we've had this year. There were so many days that
the heat made us feel like we were in the Philippines again!
I assume that wherever you live in the
United States, you did on one day or another, feel the extremity of this
year's heat.
Just take a minute and think about one of
those days, when the heat was unbearable. Do you remember how miserable you
were?
During one of those extremely hot days, as
sweat was profusely pouring, I stood in front of a fan trying to keep cool
because the heat was simply miserably unbearable.
Then the Lord gave me this thought, if this
heat is this unbearable for us, how could people stand suffering in hell
forever? Can you imagine the misery they will have to endure forever? And
unlike the relief I got with the fan, there will forever be no relief in
hell.
We challenge you to redeem the time and be
about the King's business. We need to do everything we can to win the lost,
it will soon be too late!
The Gates of Hell
"And I also say to you that you are Peter,
and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not
prevail against it." Matthew 16:18. Do we really understand what all Jesus
meant when He spoke these words? There is nothing in hell, no demon or
demonic force, not even Satan himself, can come against the true church. The
true church that is Bible believing, Bible teaching, Bible preaching and
Bible living.
The church is a powerful institution that
even hell can't destroy. It has been around since the Book of Acts. Jesus
gave His life for His Bride. He will and is watching over her. If you are a
child of God, you need to be attending church on a regular basis. You need
to be faithful in tithes and offerings and using your talents for God's
glory. In fact, as a child of God, we have no option in this. We are
commanded in God's
Word to be in attendance at every service. Hebrews 10:25 says, "Not
forsaking the assembly of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but
exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."
The Day is coming on us fast. Be ready.
There is divine protection in the church.
There is a covering through the blood of Jesus.
Until next time, Dan
